Well it's been 3wks in plaster, 1wk in a sling, 1wk recuperation and 1wk back at work. XRay last Friday showed both elbow fractures fused so w.t.f... today was the long awaited wind fix!

Got down to the beach earlyish with big board and small rig and gave an hour's lesson to my wife who has decided, if you cant beat them..... yesssss! (and is pretty good too). Then the wind kicked in unexpectedly. Wasn't sure how the elbow would be and hadn't packed the harness but couldn't resist a couple of tentative reaches out to the bouys and back. A lot of people turned up, rush-rigged and really stoked me so I went for it and got some beautiful runs until the forearms couldn't take it any more.

Summary: Great to be back and surprised how well the Techno2 worked with such a small rig and no harness.... I even got it out of the water a couple of times and went so fast my cap flew off and sunk!!
